Safety First
Your dogs safety is of utmost importance to me, this is why I always walk in areas I am familiar with making sure there are no gaps in hedges that could lead to main roads or hidden drops to water!
The walking spots that I have chosen for the dogs they all love and thrive on they are familiar areas so that they feel safe and happy. Dogs thrive on routine and structure.
I avoid very dirty swampy areas because - the risk of Alabama rot a rare disease but none the less I take precautions so dogs are not at risk!
Making sure the dogs are as clean as possible (obviously during winter months it is impossible to keep the dogs 100 percent clean) however towel drying your dog off and washing them down if necessary is all part of the service.
Play, Fun & Exercise
I will ensure that your dog gets exactly what they want from their walk - as a fully engaged Dog Walker all your dogs needs are met, if you have the type of dog that loves nothing more than to run and play with other dogs, with the wonderful mix of dogs in the St Johns Walkies gang there will always be a furry friend who is up for that.
Alternatively if your dog is quieter and prefers a more gentle stroll then I make sure this is the walk they will have, then there are the super independent dogs who love to lead the way up front and feel in charge (or so they like to think) then thats fine too!
I make sure the walks are fun-filled and interesting with plenty of sights and smells lots of sniffing giving them the enrichment they so deserve.
I am always fully engaged with what your dogs needs are.
Then there are the snugglers (I like to call them) who love nothing more than to chill for a few minutes under the shade of trees and come for cuddles and fuss!!
Weather
I am mindful of the areas I walk in especially during the winter so that the dogs are not up to their elbows in mud I find many dogs really don’t enjoy getting that dirty although there are always the little rascals that love the muck especially the Golden Retrievers!!!

During the summer months when the hot weather is upon us (fortunately we don’t have too many) I will be in touch with you directly to devise a plan, it maybe a shorter walk, an earlier walk or even a Let Out service, as always your dogs safety comes first.
